Liver Cancer Surgery

Liver cancer can broadly be classified into primary liver cancers, which originate in the liver, and metastatic liver cancers, which spread to the liver from other organs. The most common primary liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma, while metastatic tumours—particularly from colorectal and gastrointestinal cancers—are frequently treated with liver-directed surgery.
